As the title would suggest, this story follows a man named Hunter Caine -- the eldest of the six Caine brothers, who are sons to a billionaire real estate mogul. Not long into the book, we also meet Allison McDowell, his personal assistant/love interest, and right from the start, sparks fly.Neither Allison nor Hunter were the sorts of characters I expect when I picked up this book, and that they turned out to be so different was a wonderful surprise. Allison is strong and forthright without ever being cold or bitchy, and Hunter is total alpha hero without ever turning into a controlling jerk. From the start, Hunter appreciates Allison not only for her beauty, but also for her intelligence and independence. While their relationship starts as a fling, it's clear early on that both characters aren't willing to setting for anyone less than a genuine partner, and it's exciting to watch them discover that in one another. And all the super hot sex doesn't hurt either.
There are also a couple of chances to meet Hunter's brothers, and they're a fun, diverse bunch -- one's a biker, another one's a Navy SEAL. If their stories are even half as sexy and enjoyable as Hunter's, then I can't wait to read them all!

I really enjoyed this novella, which is the first in a series about six brothers – who all cracked me up when they’re together!
Hunter is the eldest and has just taken over the reins of the family company from his father, who’s just married for the fourth time and recently retired. With the role, he inherited Allison – beautiful, intelligent, and efficient PA, who’s aiming for a bigger career using her law degree.
Fed up of the misogynistic ways of Hunter’s father, and mistakenly thinking that Hunter is the same, Allison has prepared a letter of resignation. However, Hunter needs her to pose as his wife to scout out a couples-only resort in Costa Rica for business. She decides to hold off on her decision until they come back. Furthermore, they acknowledge the sizzling mutual attraction between them, and decide that ‘what happens in Costa Rica, stays in Costa Rica’!
Unfortunately, Allison brings out Hunter’s softer, more care-free side, and feelings get in the way of their ‘weekend only’ fling. When their weekend is over, do they have the courage to admit their real feelings and take things further?
This was a fun, super sexy, short love story. I really can’t wait to read about the rest of the brothers!
Hunter The Caine Brothers, Book One by Margaret Madigan is the first book in her new series, The Caine Brothers. It is about the oldest Caine brother, Hunter, and his new PA he "inherited" from his father after his retirement. Hunter is one of six boys.
Hunter plans to do business differently from his father but Allison McDowell doesn't realize he isn't the misogynist he appeared to be at his father's wedding. Ready to turn in her resignation, Hunter hits her with a proposition instead. Pose as a couple with him at a couples only resort in Costa Rica so they can go "undercover" to evaluate the resorts merits. With her resignation still in her possession she decides to agree to the arrangement. It is purely business, after all. Neither one truly expected their "undercover" assignment to wind up with them, quite literally, under the covers, but what happens in Costa Rica stays in Costa Rica, right?
A sweet, well-paced, steamy romance that is just really great in all the right ways. I really enjoyed this and can't wait to read more from this author and these brothers.

Hunter was a quick and fairly easy read. Unfortunately, I could not rate it higher because there were many moments that felt mildly unpolished and others repetitive. Hunter had a penchant for using "Je$us F_ck_ng C#ri$t" during intimate scenes and the overuse of it grated.
This book was refreshing book to read. I enjoyed hunter and Allison. She put hunter in his place and made him see how much of his life he was missing, by being a workaholic. She made him feel things that he never felt before. I really enjoyed the book and recommend it.
Margaret Madigan's Book shows that all work and no play makes for lonely lives. Luckily Hunter found true love with Allison. They were both driven by their careers, and found each other to be stubborn, passionate, challenging, attractive and amazing. Read it in 2 days! Couldn't put it down! Highly Highly Recommended!
